Spatial Models for California Offshore Wind Energy

Get wind spatial models for the coast of California to assist in the decision-making process for offshore energy development. California has a goal to achieve 100% of its energy from renewable sources and offshore wind is poised to play a large role. Since 2016, California has worked with BOEM and the Renewable Energy Intergovernmental Task Force to identify areas suitable for development. To support this effort, the Conservation Biology Institute used data from the California Offshore Wind Energy Gateway to produce a robust set of spatial model results.
