Oregon State University Selected for Offshore Wind Research Funding

The university received a $2 million grant from the Department of Energy to study the impact of offshore wind on the environment. The grant is part of a larger investment to provide critical environmental and wildlife data for the support of increased offshore wind development. Oregon State University is one of two projects to help prepare the West Coast for floating offshore wind energy and one of four that the Department of Energy is supporting to study potential efforts of offshore wind energy nationwide.
