Report: Offshore Wind Project Monitoring Framework and Guidelines

As part of the siting, design, and permitting process for offshore wind projects, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and some states require developers to prepare project monitoring plans in case of potential impacts to marine resources and fishing operations. The new report, Offshore Wind Project Monitoring Framework and Guidelines, builds on existing BOEM guidance and outlines the necessary parts of a project monitoring plan for commercial-scale offshore wind farms. This guidance is a living document and will evolve and grow as organizations continue to monitor and refine guidelines and best practices.
