Download the Report: Offshore Wind for America

The United States currently relies heavily on fossil fuels for its energy needs and currently gets about 11.5 percent of its electricity from wind, solar, and geothermal sources. There is still one untapped source of energy: offshore wind. Twenty-nine states have the potential to generate offshore wind energy and 19 of those states have the technical capacity to produce more electricity than they used in 2019. Learn more about the state of offshore wind potential in the U.S. in this report from Environment American Research & Policy Center.
