Ocean Mapping and Research Partnership Expanded for the Mid-Atlantic
Ocean planners and GIS data users in the Mid-Atlantic will have access to improved oceanographic data through a memorandum of understanding signed between the Mid-Atlantic Regional Association Coastal Ocean Observing System and Mid-Atlantic Regional Council on the Ocean. This memo formalizes a long-standing partnership between the region’s two leading ocean data sharing, mapping, and planning organizations. The partners often work together to create oceanographic map products that accommodate the needs of stakeholders by leveraging their complementary mapping tools. Now, this partnership will formally continue.
