Offshore Wind Steel Fabrication Plant Coming to Maryland
Construction began in October on Maryland’s first offshore wind steel fabrication center. With this step, Orsted, a Danish energy company, has completed a commitment in the agreement to develop Maryland’s offshore wind farm while providing broader support to the entire East Coast. Orsted agreed to invest in Crystal Steel Fabricators in Federalsburg, Maryland. Orsted is pursuing plans to build a wind farm offshore the Delmarva Peninsula.
