BOEM Comes to Agreement with Fisheries and Offshore Wind Energy

The Northeast and Mid-Atlantic are hotspots for offshore wind energy potential, but they are also key areas for much of America’s fishing industry. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management worked with NOAA Fisheries and the Responsible Offshore Development Alliance and signed a 10 year memorandum of understanding. The memorandum brings together local and regional fishing interests with federal regulators to collaborate on the science and process of offshore wind development.
