Much of ocean and coastal planning depends on high quality water and animal data. Alaska has the highest number and greatest size of water level monitoring gaps but there are groups working to improve the quality and coverage of data in the region. Stay up to date on their activities using this story map. As of May 1, 2019, animal telemetry track data is accessible through the U.S. Animal Telemetry Network portal. This includes Alaska and more using the network of IOOS partners.
